Fondant Decorating: Cute Sheep Cupcakes!

Hey guys, I recently made these cute sheep cupcake designs for someone's birthday!

and the design credit goes to: www.bathbabycakes.com

These were the only tools I used for these fondant cupcakes. I did switch from the big fondant roller to a smaller one mid way though :D

If you're covering half of the cupcake with fondant, a quick way is to cut the circles in half so each circle covers 2 cupcakes. It also saves you a lot of fondant when you roll out the big  green piece to cut circles out of.  Sometimes I need 10 circles and the sheet I rolled out only
fits 9, it's a waste of time to knead the fondant and roll it out again just for an extra circle.

I cut out all the shapes free hand. The exacto knife is a must in any fondant decorating. For squares and cirlces, always use a cookie cutter, but everything else try to do it by freehand, it's what makes your cake design unique and different from everyone else's.

All 12 cupcakes are covered with the base fondant, ready to decorate.

I haven't found a good set of triangle cutters so I cut my own triangles.  You can use an exacto knife, but I like to let the strip of fondant dry for a bit, and I cut it with scissors like it's a piece of  paper.  It's just a lot faster that way for me.

I used a clay extruder to pipe out the 'string' for the happy birthday flag.

The cupcakes are almost done, just need to draw the rest in with the black edible marker!

That's all for now, will update again soon :)

Fondant Decorating: SUSHI CUPCAKES!

Someone had asked me to make birthday cupcakes for a good friend of his, and the design was
completely up to me.  So I asked for some suggestions, what does she like? He said she's Japanese
so do something cute and Japanese related.  He suggested anime cartoon but then I thought
sushi cupcakes would be even cuter!

He was really happy when he came by to pick up the cupcakes!

She said she took a million pictures before eating them haha.
Exactly what I do, take a million pictures before I give them away!

I've seen many versions of Sushi Cupcakes online, this is my own version :)

A&C's Wedding Cupcake Favors!

I had recently made custom cupcakes as wedding favours for A and C.
The design was inspired by their purple, white and orange colour theme and white flower
decors they had for the wedding.

These were some of the flower decors at their wedding.

These white flowers are made out of fondant.  I used flower cutters of different
sizes and shapes and layered them together.

Some orange flowers.

Some cupcakes had purple hearts with a floral design.

A&C's wedding favours!

"I DO" cupcake.

It was also my first time providing clear gift boxes with the cupcakes.

I'm not even exaggerating, it took 2 hours to fold the boxes, 3 hours to measure/cut/tie the ribbons,
3 hours to put the cupcakes in and ice them, 1 hour to close the boxes and place the tag and ribbon on top.

I underestimated the time and labour for these boxes!
(Thank goodness I had help lol!)
and this is what 300 of them looks like!
(Sorry for the low quality, took it with my phone!)

All boxes folded!

Delivering them to the venue was a mission! This was only half the boxes,
there was also a flight of stairs we had to carry them up before strolling it through the mall
and into the elevator.

Finally got there! And I have to say.. it was one of the most beautiful wedding venues
I've ever seen! Their decors, flowers.. everything was incredible! Very happy my cupcakes
got to be a part of it!
